I also built a new rear deck. By pulling out all the foam and old rear deck and spare tire cover, I could utilize the space more effeciently.
I carry a 1.5 gallon jerry can and few fire extinquishers up top, but otherewise, I try to carry everything else under the deck. I have an LED light both above the deck and under the lid to light things up at night.
