So it's finally done, and I went to pick it up.....

I'll make this short. It's **************'! Two years of research, 13 months waiting. Only the 5th of it's kind. The VMI guys, Mike, Corey, and AJ are awesome. They really take great pride in what they do, and they are constantly trying to improve. Check out their site - http://www.vmioffroad.com/

Features:
Inside - Queen size bed that doubles as two bench seats with a table, a "vanity" cabinet with a cabinet for a cassette toilet.
Outside- Full galley with fridge, cabinets, storage, counter top, fold away table, hot and cold water, 25 gal fresh water tank, 20 lb. Propane tank, quick release propane hook up for stove.

All aluminum fully welded frame and body
Smittybuilt awnings side and rear with a filler piece to make the corner
Matching wheels, tires and spare to tow vehicle
4 Jerry can holders
Tongue mounted storage box
Lock and Roll hitch.
Virtually all hardware is marine type and stainless.

Here are some shots. I didn't take many, and I didn't have reason to deploy the awning while out...so I didn't.

It's pulls great, tracks beautifully, its super easy to get camp set, and I still got between 10 and 12 MPG while pulling it 1200 miles, and that's with 33's and the stock 3.36's (on the Xterra). Overdrive is absolutely useless while pulling though. 2340 lbs. dry.

Very nice. How much $?

Any pics or a link to the corner bridge for the awnings?

Link suggests its in the 25K range and weighs just under 2K empty. Nice rig they have some interesting products refreshing to see companies like this surfacing after so many decades of the same RV stuff built for big heavy tow vehicles.

I like, what is the interior width on that thing?

65"

No links (or pics yet) The whole awning hasn't really been set up yet, we set it up as best we could when they showed me and my wife how it worked, but the wind was not helping. It is a custom piece that they built. And as their site quotes 25 K plus add-ons, which I kept to a minimum, or at least tried to. You could easily throw 40K at one, but I don't see the point.

I have been looking at those for a year now. If you don't mind I have a couple of questions. 1. how many inches is the door opening? Width and height. I am a big guy and I was going to "mock" up a sample to see if I fit. 2. could you post a pic of the cooking area up close? I was wanting to know if my fridge and grill will fit. Thank you for any help. I think we would all love to see more pics! :)

Door opening is 20 1/2 " w X 52" h. Galley is 22' d X 38" h X 56" w. I'll try for more pics soon.

It should be noted that of the 5 of this model they have built, none are the same. (although I believe the actual door openings have been the same) Every one has been customized. Mine too. I got the larger fridge, which changed the galley configuration. Having spent a great deal of time on the phone with them, leading up to and during, I suggest you just give them a call. Better yet an email. They will do whatever you want. Mike is very personable and willing to answer any questions.
