Inner Fender Liners 3rd gen 4runner

I'm missing both fenderliners on my 3rd gen. It has a 2" body lift, so not sure if previous owner s-canned them cause they wouldn't fit or what. Has anyone ever made there own? I was thinking of using really thin sheet metal or rubber/plastic.
Any thoughts?
thanks Josh:snorkel:

I had a friend make his own using the originals as a template and just making the liners longer to compensate for the BL. I think he used some heavy duty material from McMaster-Carr for the new liners.

EDIT: I am talking about the small piece the shields the engine bay from the wheel well.

Pond liner works well and can be found at some of the big box home improvement stores. Don't try to use sheet metal - the body does move relative to the frame. I actually used an old race slick for mine, my fender liners are rated for 200mph.

You can also do a search for "gap-guards" if you just want to buy a set.

just go to Home Depot/Lowes, and buy some carpet runner, and cut away.
Its cheap, easy to cut, and will last forever, Ive mine on my 99 for about 4 years, and on the 04 for about 2 years now :victory:
