Oh Hell yes on the Kamp King.

My wife was walking by and saw the computer she said "Oh my gawd...that is **********' cool!"
Right? Pretty sweet! Could even look good on an old F-250..... Now just gotta combine the two so you have upper and lower patios! Since it's 60's I wonder if there is a way to work in a sunken living room, lol

Everything is Apple here, phones, laptops, desktop.

She teaches digital media at the College, yet they refuse to get Apples for the computer lab...has to use PC's which are horrid...believe the college thinks Apples are some kind of liberal conspiracy.....it is Idaho, afterall. They're little behind the times here. Which is good and bad.

I saw it when it was literally a pile of panels on their shop floor. I see it occasionally running around town (Missoula) I need to stop in when it is parked at the their shop.

Yeah that is pretty bad-********.

Like those Maltecs too...I'll never be able to afford one though. Awful lot of money for such a small space. Keep on thinking how much fuel that would buy by dirt bag set-up I have now, probably keep it running indefinitely...

I've seen that very Maltec in person at the Cruiser museum and I honestly don't see the advantage over what you have now.

You could duplicate all the functionality of it in a weekend of woodworking in the bed of your Taco. The only thing that would take real commitment would be the pass-thru, but with an XtraCab that doesn't seem super necessary to me. There's more living room in a deployed 'Nest I think.

If starting from zero, maybe. But awful expensive for what it is IMO.

Those are pretty sweet. But, I think I'll want a truck with an open bed so I can bring my fire pit with me....

It has the cool factor and that is about it. Think the pass through probably would be a pain to crawl through, unlike a van where you already have the height, and just spin around on the seat.

Definitely more room in the 'Nest...it may be a little janky...but all that room is really hard to beat. It is open and airy, feels like you're in a tree house.

Even if starting from scratch...think I would build exactly what I have, or step it slightly with a Vagabond or OVRLND. Same basic thing but a Hell of a lot cheaper. Couldn't get over the expense of something like a Maltec...once a cheap SOB, always a cheap SOB...would feel guilty spending that kind of money. No matter the machine, the outdoor experience isn't going to be any different.

Have been watching World's most Dangerous Roads (BBC)....great journeys all in rented vehicles. Price of one Maltec buys an awful lot of trips.

That is awesome.

The ones with a forest scene looks like to me is a forest fire and the animals are getting ready to run for their lives. Ha ha, doh!

Especially here, we get such horrible forest fires.

Snow pack is looking good, hopefully fire season won't be too bad this year, getting hammered lately.

Oh that's good! Hopefully better this year too. We lived in a bad haze all of July and August last year with poor air quality warnings due to forest fires in B.C.
Could barely see the sun all summer here. This pic was typical of what we saw for two months. If I recall this pic was taken around 5:00 / 6:00 PM? So, it still should have been bright and sunny out...
