International 4300 DT466 Allison Automatic Polished wheels low mileage - $22999 (scot

Well folks, avoid this seller!! I sent him a deposit as agreed immediately. He then received two offers for an additional $2k, and apparently accepted. He was to provide title prior to final payment which he did not have- still on Federal form of purchase, and he is the only one who can acquire the title. He offered a POA, which does not work for this situation, as I confirmed with NCDMV as well as ADMV.
Long story short, he then scheduled an inspection required by Arizona DMV for last Friday supposedly. I have left numerous emails, text, and VMs and today I receive a deposit refund- no call, no communication, nothing.
Avoid Brandon Larson , BytorTruck.com as they are not honorable!! Very frustrating situation to say the least...

Oh my gosh, so sorry to hear this! I'll send you a PM with the contact info I had for him(will get from work on Tues).

I have contact info, that wasn't the issue. We made a deal, $21k, and i gave a deposit immediately- by CC no less. Then he had issues with title, and two full price offers. Subsequently, I sent no less than a dozen emails, VMs, and text to confirm he had in fact gotten it inspected by his DMV so he could start the title process. No reply- at all!! Then, a week later, he refunds my deposit, and has his wife email me...

We buy/sell quite a few vehicles, and this was much more typical of a used car lot than an enthusiast- all about the $$ in lieu of credibility. Sadly, he even tried to sell the truck on federal form 97 I believe it was, which is not transferable, or legal, even with POA. So, in the end, an unsuspecting or novice buyer may have accepted same, and been without title. This was all confirmed with our DMV here as well as in Az.

Quite honestly, I have learned over the years when these types are being dealt with, the deals that don't pan out are the best :-) Granted, we were really looking forward to the truck and the build, but there are many more trucks being sold by reputable sellers. Also, once he established his lack of integrity, I had reservations about his description of the vehicle as well as every other aspect of of the transaction- just glad I didn't wire deposit per his request...

The search continues!

Apparently Land Rover was so concerned we were stepping on their toes we had to change our name, so to what? Well, luckily my middle name is Russ, so we are Russ' Vehicle Restorations, or www.thervrbarn.com ;-) I figured we should have a little fun after spending stupid attorney dollars to 'chat' with LRNA... But they did finally concede to RVR, but I had to let Rover Barn website disappear -sadly.

Get me some dates for Maine- sounds like fun!!

did they threaten NASA for the mars Rover? ef them. over half the rigs yo sold arnt even landrovers.

Dale,
Are you serious about acquiring a 4x4 IH, or Crew Cab IH. I live in Boise, ID. Because Idaho Power, and Motive Power Inc, are both based here, in addition to NIFC - I see these trucks all the time. Some just listed on Craig's list, others in local or state auctions. There's a 97 Crew Cab, none 4X4 available here in Boise.

Been there done that. Gave us a chance to develop a new logo which we like a lot, though.
