I like how snuggled up to the back the bike is. But am I getting it right. You load the bike by running into inside then putting it onto the rack??

That is correct. I wanted to keep it simple.

Did you have any problems installing the touch pad deadbolt lock? I'm thinking about doing the same thing, because my two entry doors are each missing an internal link, and I can't find replacements.

None at all, it has been there for years. If I had to do it again, I would have mounted the lock on the wall beside the door so it didn’t move when I opened the door.

Just opening and closing the door when it is raining out. It has gotten pretty wet and had to take it apart a few times over the years.

Time to update the generator.

First had to remove the monster from its cave.

Some mock up of the new setup. It will be a belt driven generator. I am going to build a shelf for the batteries over the generator head.

Petrol or diesel? What about exhaust and cooling /air circulation?

As much as logic says DIESEL, logic also can also say GASOLINE.

Consider this: Frazer ambulances are designed to be primarily 115 volts, with a 12 volt converter to power emergency lighting and other 12 volt accessories. They use an Onan 5.5 kW gasoline generator as the ambulance's primary power - they selected gasoline based on a diesel's increased noise and vibration, despite the shorter generator life expectancy with a gasoline generator.

Users often keep a rebuilt Onan generator on the shelf as a spare part so they can quickly replace a failed unit.

I had considered a diesel generator for my unit, but I recognized the difficulty I would probably run into trying to quiet it down enough to be allowable in a campground. I wound up with a 4 kW Onan RV generator.

campground? lol.... I hope to be far from campgrounds...... but still..... 1000w of solar should have me rarely using the diesel genset am installing. have a spare too.
