Updating my build page.

I installed a Blue Sea fuse box under the dash above the footwell. This was done to get rid of my add-a-circuits in the OEM fuse panel and direct power to my new Blue Sea power and USB outlets. I replaced the OEM power outlets I installed into the center console since they kept blowing a fuse.

After seeing it first hand a couple of times now, it's very well put together. But where do you store all the camping stuff when the family is along? It looks smaller than my truck and I'm always struggling with how to pack stuff (water, chairs, tables, extra blankets/pillows, toilet, clothes bags etc) in addition to any recovery gear/tools etc.

It's a challenge, but it all fits inside and on the roof. Chairs, water, misc box and gas on the roof; bedding and clothes on the rear seat; recovery, tools, kitchen, stove, and fridge in the rear. :Wow1:

The build up looks good with the new rack and I like that fold down table very convenient.

I believe he is using Baja Designs. He did have a full wrap on the FJ at Expo and it was from Baja Designs. Hope that helps. It is put together very well.

Yes, my lights are by Baja Designs. The full wrap was done on Baja Designs sponsored FJ owned by Don Grey.

I recently passed my technician ham test and installed a Yaesu FTM-400DR dual band radio, Diamond 770HAB antenna and Comet RS-730 trunk lid mount and cable.

The radio's remote control head is mounted to the main Ram telepole with a Ram arm and X-Grip.

The radio unit is mounted under the driver's seat. I bent up some aluminum bar to tuck the radio under the seat so it would clear the amp mounted on the floor.

The antenna is mounted on the rear door, top center and the cable still needs to be routed and tucked away under the rear shelf and flooring.

I made a double mic holder for my CB and new ham radio. It's a piece of aluminum bar painted black with mic holders mounted with industrial double stick tape. The black bar is mounted to a Ram ball mount using the same tape.
