What Cb radio is that?

Range for me is the key. A CB barely gets out, while with a 2 Meter radio on 50 watts, I hit a repeater 200 miles away.

There are other aspects if you care for them. Like HAM clubs, Nets (scheduled radio check-ins), Disaster communications groups, the list is long.

I did the same mod, however changed it up a little. I added a flat plate in the rear as well (P#RAP-326RMU). It is larger than the mount and sandwiches the dashboard between the 2 larger parts dissipating any stress on the small bolts. Only time will tell, however think this strong enough for even my wheeling. For my use I see it as a better option. My wife doesn't like the mount arm hitting her in the leg and taking away her leg room. This one is high enough up to give her knee room and low enough to not worry if the air bag deploys. Notice the old RAM mount in the bottom of the pic.

I also second GPS City. They are here in Vegas and on several occasions was able to pick up an order within 20 Min. even though they don't have a traditional store front.

Went out to the desert to test the mount Baja style. It worked great and the mount is very stable. I even grabbed the iPad to pull it closer while locked and there was no movement from the 1" receiver ball nor flex from the plastic on the dash.
