iPhone 5 announced

the iPhone 5 would need a third antenna to take advantage of Verizon's network. It doesn't have 3, so no simultaneous voice and data. other phones, like the Samsung Galaxy S III, do allow voice and data at the same time on Verizon. Here's a second article that explains the situation

Voice and data? I've had this feature for years on AT&T I've only used it a few times and definitely was not a necessity.

I use this feature regularly on ATT. It helps when you're out of WiFi range.

Voice and data? I've had this feature for years on AT&T I've only used it a few times and definitely was not a necessity.

I mean having a cell phone period isnt really a necessity nor is having a phone that is a mini computer but it is a nice to have. I am like you and have only used Internet or email and phone at the same time a few times but when I did it was needed for the moment and nice to do.

Wow! Apple sold 5 million iPhone 5s in the first 3 days. There should be good deals on used iPhone 4 and 4S models in the coming weeks.

The iPhone 5 has a new microprocessor and double the memory of the iPhone 4S. The iPhone 5 is almost twice as fast as the 4S when running benchmark tests (both phones running iOS6). The iPhone 5 is also somewhat faster than the current iPad.

Benchmarks show the iPhone 5 is running neck-and-neck with the fastest Android phones on the market today, with Android winning some benchmarks, Apple winning others.

iPhone 5 owners are reporting one cosmetic issue. The aluminum back scratches easily. If you plan to carry your phone in a pocket with your car keys, better get a case for the phone. Or cover the phone front and back with a clear plastic film like a screen protector. Zagg is one company that makes the plastic film.
