Those two apps are quite different from VSCOcam but I digress.

There are a thousand apps that do those things, thing is very few do them anywhere near as well or with the level of sophistication and refinement as VSCO, and honestly unless you've tried it you'll likely not understand. You can also share on the VSCO grid, view others work there, see where their images were taken on a map...and on and on. It's far and away the best photo app I've ever used and I've used a ton. And all these things are done inside the app itself, no need to jump into a browser or other apps. There's a reason millions of android users downloaded it when it was l released for that platform. But again I digress, there's no debate to be won here.

...so brand new Apple camera tech is only marginally better than 1 year old Samsung camera tech...? Oh the Apply way.

By the way, my Note 3 takes amazing pictures and the new cameras on the new Galaxy phones and the Nexus phones will undoubtedly be better than the Apple.

I've never had a problem with editing my photos on my Galaxy, works just fine. Does everything I'd need, I don't need a crappy instagram filter on every picture.

I am not arguing with you over the app, I was just stating that the two apps I use do the same thing as it, besides share the photos with others.

I was/am truly curious what VSCO did that Nokia didn't. So you answered my question in a very mature and professional manner, unlike some others out there. I have no issues with Nokia camera/lens. both work great for me, and the photos that come from my 1020 are spectacular. We (my wife and I both have them) are loving the phones as the camera in them were the main reason we bought them. Its so easy to take awesome photos. Especially with the camera grip case that nokia has for it. The other thing is the optical image stabilization and lens stack are second to none. that is why the back of the 1020 is the way it is. It has a huge lens stack and OIS system inside. Plus the real Xenon flash kills LED flash systems. I have had every type of phone from Samsung galaxy's of various versions, blackberrys, 2 iPhone 4s and an iPhone 5s (my sons), Samsungs ATIV S WP phone and now the Nokia 1020s. The 1020 is far ahead of all others in most every aspect and hands down the best for image quality for photos. I could care less about videos, I never use them. For pure photographic useage, again, The 1020 is just so easy to do anything with the photos. We both love the phone and take them everywhere. As for photos on the net from the IP6, go check out the photos from the 1020 on the net, The are spectacular. Low light from the 1020 is a boon to shoot as well.

Please post up some of your awesome pictures.

I don't need to justify anything to you.

Typically photographers love to share their work...it's rare a legit photog doesn't want to show off their skills and be critiqued and get better.

Seems obviously someone is a sham. Also, not a single person knows you in real life, and you're spitting information like you know what you're talking about. You'd better be able to actually prove what you're saying, otherwise everyone is under the assumption that you are completely talking out of your butt. That's just a matter of the internet and being what it is.

No offense, but honestly the biggest rub is that haven simply posted some test results from a respected review site, and it quickly turned into an tirade about how Apple is crap and deceptive, and the "my phone is way better and can do everything the iPhone can do better" banter started. No one, not a single person said that other phones can't take great pics, or stated that they are substandard, so it hardly seems necessary to mount a defensive of ones device and an offense against the iPhone, which you did. I mean if there was anything worth critiquing in this thread it would have been DXO's review methods, but no one has done that. The iPhone, love it or hate it, is the most popular imaging device on the planet, that's fact. Are there cameras that can take better pictures,... yep, lots, but fact remains the iPhone is a very popular device for taking pictures.

I welcome advances in technology from whoever it comes from, and UI's that create a better workflow and results, are rewarding not only for their output potential, but also for the enjoyment they bring from using them. The Apple environment still sees some of the most significant advances with app development and refinement, and their UI and hardware continue to keep pace or push things forward, setting ever higher standards, the very thing a lot of people were hoping to see and which is now being validated with independent reviews. I have no doubt however that in 1 week, 1 month, 1 years time we'll see even greater improvement coming from somewhere and we'll hear about it, that's just the nature of technology and its advances.

Ok, but it should say, iPhone 6, the "most popular" phone used in photography. There have been many other tests besides DXO that have in fact stated for stills the 1020 is still The BEST for IMAGE QUALITY.

and to the other poster, I am NOT a professional photorgrapher, I do not take photos to make money. I take photos to remember places I and my family has been. Therefore, I don't care what others think of my photos. If I were making money, yes, I would really care what others thought as they are the ones paying me for my services. There is no SHAM as you would say.

Travel photographer Austin Mann puts the iPhone 6 to the test in Iceland.

All video and stills were shot on the iPhone 6 or 6 plus. I'm actually more impressed with the video but stills are pretty good too. Nice real world review by a real photographer.

I don't understand how people can even seriously discuss such topics. :) Its a phone. It's not a camera. You can take snapshots for FB page (and I do that a lot :) ), but thats about it.
