So It's about time since we last gave updates for the REBELZILLA BUILD. We have been working on this build for quite some time. It's been a bit of roller coaster build since it is not being built for a customer but for myself, and Zilla has had to be sidelined on more than one occasion while we build and work on vehicles for our customers. (Gotta keep them vehicles out on the trail and customers happy and having fun too.)

REBELZILLA is quite far along now and we have been taking pictures and a little video along the way. We have found a little time to post on the progress we have been making and will be sharing the build process.

On the interior. We began by stripping the entire interior down to nothing. Removing everything in the cab from seats and carpet to the headliner and dashboard. This all needed to be done as it is getting a full custom interior. (Race Truck inspired with 5 Corbeau LG-1 seats. Yep they are heated and suede covered. An interior roll cage and Crow harnesses included). We made the center seat in the rear of the dual cab removable so that it can be interchanged with an ARB 50 qt fridge to keep the occupants hydrated and nourished on long road trips. More to come…

Im digging the new, DOWNSIZED photos.

Those monster ones were putting the hurt to my connection and old PC :ylsmoke:

Look forward to more photos. Certainly a slick rig.

A 4x4 cab-forward crew-cab is definitely a premo setup.

All the photos going forward will be smaller for your viewing pleasure!

Photos of the front dash being stripped down. Moving the controls for temp. (longer cables) over closer to the passenger to make way for large dash screen.

Probably a bit late now, since I presume these photos are behind the actual work beind done, but with the 6L90 being a GM transmission, did you consider pulling parts from a Silverado and making it column shift? Same goes for moving the parking brake to the floor. It would free up lots of space in the center console for a middle passenger, cooler, etc. Just a thought.

Some Fuso shifters are dash mounted, which could also be an option, though the parking brake is still next to the driver's right leg.

Wanted to show you guys some of the sound dampening material we're using for the cab floor, headliner and doors.

For the floor we used Hush Mat 50100 2.0 mm for sound as well as heat. For more information regarding the product click here http://hushmat.com/products/automotive-applications/performance/hoodliner-6-pads-12x23-each.html

For the headliner and soon to be doors we used Hush Mat 10501 which is 1.5 mm thick. The stats on this one can be found here http://hushmat.com/products/automot...r-foil-30-sheets-12-x-32-each-58-sq.-ft..html

We decided to hard mount the rear box to the frame on Rebelzilla and have the suspension do all the work for us. Suspension is what we specialize here at Rebel. This eliminated the need for suspension seats or a pivoting frame. In the rear its a 3 link with trailing arms. King 3" coilover and 2.5" 3 tube bypass w/ remote resi. In the front is a radius arm suspensions setup with King 3" coliovers and 2.5" 3 tube bypass w/ remote resi.

It'll be very interesting to see how well everything works. Looking great so far.

Regarding that radio, and the touch screen - have you used that model in any of your builds so far? Just curious, because I've stayed away from touch screens as much as possible in my off road vehicles. Eventually they've all started to come down with the "ghost touch" issue, so now I'm just going with a physical dial, buttons, etc.
