I sort of get it. A friend was a supervisor on a job outside of Perth. He liked the area 20 years ago and thought about retiring there. He was back about a year ago and it about dropped him to his knees when he saw the increase in prices for anything.

Which makes no sense, since seems like all the good manufacturers (as far as equipment)are there!

It's sad, but true.
Products manufactured here (like ARB stuff, as an example) is sold overseas at a significantly lower price than what we have to pay for the same item.
Yep... we get ripped off.
