Tested that. Still needs a pump to get flow to turn on the Tank-less. And with 1200 kw on the roof it should work ok.
I didn't say I will be going with a 6.2 Tesla for storage.
Yes I assumed pump on, just not fauct turned on. Would need byapss.

That much electrical won't notice a little heater

Great build and details, good info for the research i am doing on mine.

So far, these look like a nice, small but effective way to get hot water for showers and sink: https://www.ecosmartus.com/products/eco-mini

The heater is the tank, so it takes up less room. I currently use a similar one, but it runs on propane, and my next build will be all diesel

Cant find ANY real world use reviews, but on paper they look great and easy

Even after going with the bypass system I am going to still add the 24V heater.
This is the work that was needed to convert the SS air tank to a water heater and 3 gal. tank.

Keep spares handy! They don't like movement I have found.

Have not had that problem ? But I keep spares.

Today I got to do the first test with the heater on line. Worked great !
This 3 gal. of hot water on line works great.
Next will be a test with the 24V heater in the tank.
But their is a lot of work to do on the Solar system.

Not sure why the flow is better in the system but I will take. What is funny is it is on both sides hot and cold ?
Test power came from my USB outlet with a 5 amp fuse. I didn't test the valve coil for power but no problem.
Will need to reset the water temp. Was a little high for a shower 125+ ? ( line from "Space Balls" TOO HOT ! ) LOL

No, but it's good to have a backup ? And I have the fuel thing worked out. I only need Diesel, Gas,LP and that's it. LOL

Solar is good for 1200 w +-. And I may add another 300 w's if I can work out the space ? Storage will be 8 x
180Ah, 3.2V, 2C
CA180FI
CALB EV Lithium LiFePO4 Batteries

and when I have more $$$$, 8 more. Then maybe I can lose the Honda, but ???

I would leave it hot and use a tempering valve set to your desired max temperature. That would give you overall more hot water. But, that would use more power.
