Did some thinking and cutting.


Cut the inserts for the track.

So my supper idea will not work the why I had wanted. But I did some welding today to get ready for the lift.

Working on the upper cable boxes. Need to make sure I can get my hand in to install the mounting bolts. So it takes a real size prototype.

Just a idea of what it will be doing. The stand off pulley is to clear the track.

After playing with the prototype that would work came up with another idea. Some thing that will hide the cable. Well some of it. Will build prototype and test this idea.
Something like this ?

Today I finished the welded-up old tail lights and primed. Then raised the bumper up by 6" and moved the down bars over a little. Then off to a parade for one of the kids in the neighborhood.

Finishing somethings up on the gray water tank.
Installed the drain so it goes out the back. Their will be a side storage box that will be in the way for going out the side.
Will use pool flush hose for draining.Think the hose will now take up much space.


Also got the city water inlet installed. Had a cutout that was for the box when it was mounted on the van chassis. Think it was a fuel fill ?
Bent and welded up a box for the fitting. Tucked it inside the box rail to keep out of harms way.

New parts showed today. Little machine work and it will fit !

Did some fitting of the track system to the truck box. Using 3/8 x 16 rivnuts . Installed the top one the adjusted the track.
Also made some plastic washers / spacers for the lift trucks. This will keep in centered in the track, this is also where the pulley rides.



Also test fit the plastic track guide's . This is UHMW plastic also used for the washers.

And ran into one problem with the track. Same number but not the same size. One is just a little tighter by .035". So I needed to trim the pins again. The other track,no problem. ???

Still need to trim some holes,but its mounted. Now I can see what will not work ? LOL

The down legs are done. Need to build the bar that will link the left to the right ? Weld or bolt ?
Then on to the cable system .
