Kkkkaaaannnssssaaasss Ciiitttyyy! We have bee here a night already hanging out with some friends. They have been very hospitable. I got to drive the camper for the first time longer than down the road and its a little slow, but we are in no hurry. Not sure where we are headed after this. I think in a northerly direction would be good.

We have left Kansas City and are between there and Omaha. We took the senic route, because you have too and saw a lot of beautiful country. I like the whole free wifi at rest stops. Kinda nice.

Made it to Omaha and we are set up in our first festival. Dundee Days. We are in a perfect spot. Next to the Porta Poties and beer garden!

The last time I checked in we were in Kansas City. We have made a little ground since then. We are currently in Bozeman, MT. We have taken 90W most of the way. Zig zaging in and out of the scenic highways and National parks. We have meet a lot of interesting and helpful people along the way. The truck is doing well, but I think some sort of suspension help in the rear will be necessary. We are going to schedule some sort of appointment farther North on 90 to get bags or helper springs. Hope you guys have a good Labor Day weekend. Let me know if there is anyone up in these here parts.

Glad you're underway, have a great trip!! :smiley_drive:

John Bozeman's Bistro downtown has good yuppie food. Alternately, out in Manhattan and Logan are the "Land of Magic" and "Sir Scott's Oasis," which are both beef enterprises that you will not soon forget.

Yup, Great Falls, MT. Trying to get some parts for the truck maybe. We need air/bags or helper springs. Anyone in this area?

Congrats on finally getting on the road!

I am a bit south of you in Jackson, Wyoming. Look me up if you come this way. Free camping in my front yard!

The Taco looks heavy! I have some used Airlift air bags you can have, for free. They have tire plugs in them though and do leak a little bit of air each day. No mounting hardware, only the actual bags. I would suggest getting some Firestone air bags though, the Airlifts gave me a lot of problems. I do have a mig welder though and a steel shop is just down the street from me. So it wouldn't be hard to get some steel and fab up some brackets and install the Airlift bags I have. Like I say, show up and the used air bags are yours!

I will be watching your trip reports! :)

Hey thanks man, but we are in Calgary now. I think we are going to try and find a shop or something here for it. We might have to pay a little extra, but we are here and it would be convenient. Unless there is someone farther North.

Congrats on finally getting on the road!

So we ordered the air bags and we will be installing them in the back of the shop that we got them from. Hopefully nothing goes wrong and my inner gear head kicks in.

We were parked on some street in Calgary last night and a lady got hit by a car right next to the camper. The first responders were there in seconds. She wasn't bleeding and was conscious. I heard her hit. I hope she is alright.
