That roller cab looks like mine

Izzy, Is that a KRA-557/537 in the shop? Looks like my set up. They're 23 years old now. Buying them seemed like a fortune back then, but they are still like new. Pricing new Snap-On tool boxes just proves what a good investment it was.

REZARF- Those inserts are called "nutsert" got them in a local nuts and bolts specialist in Glendale Az-"Mark's nuts and bolts" they are somewhat hard to get at that size in your local hardware store, however I think macmaster-carr
may carry them as well -if you have hard time to get them I'll be happy to assist. they are kind of a pain to install- the make a special tool for them but it's very expensive.
the idea is to collapse the bottom into the drilled hole for it to hold tight. we finally worked a power steering pump pulley installer to do the job.hold great!!

AFSOC- I'm not sure of the tool chest model but they are identical boxes side by side-yes the have some years on them and Snap On dealer just replace all the drawer slides
for free-it's the proverbial "you get what you pay for"

Nice trailer project. Gives me some ideas fo the old Willys truck bed trailer I was given. Especially like the spare tire placement and the stabilzer jacks.
I'll definitely keep checking this thread for your updates.

I am loving that rack! I may just have to try something similar. I like the idea of keeping it up high to allow for the option of storage on the lid if necessary.

WOW!

I am so impressed, did you use the hammerite paint on the tub? It looks great, I love your mods and use of materials, very cool looking indeed.

The rack you made looks kille IMHO, keep up the great work, and the pics ;)

May I suggest rounding the corners of that angle under the AT can holders?
If you ever have cause to crawl under the trailer you'll appreciate them being heavily rounded off.

Drew, the tub was powder coated in a silver vein, clear coat finish- very smilar to the rattle can hammerd finish but much more durable, easier to clean and hides body imperfections better
