So I was getting a knocking clunk from my front driver's side area during suspension articulation. I pulled the wheel and checked everything. Noticed the upper control arm ball joint was in need of some grease. Thinking that was it I pulled the other side and greased that one too. While I was at it it I casually checked bolts etc I knew I removed when installing the suspension.
Put it back together and before I was fully out of the driveway I knew i hadn't fix it. Ahh..
Got out and tried to replicate it by jumping up and down on the side steps. Sure enough I could replicate it. Drove down the street to my neighbor's and had him jump up and down while i crawled under the car. Wasn't long before I pinpointed the problem. The lower sway bar bolt connecting the sway bar linkage to the lower control arm was loose enough to cause a cluck when forced upon.
Tightened that up - along with the other side and all was good! Victory!
Did the same on the other side and decided to rotated the tires and then called it a day.
Cheers,
