Got the struts adjusted - have them sitting at 7mm preload.

Ended up going with a set of 275/70r18 BFG TA K02 tires. Stayed loyal to the tire I've been using since I was teenager...

Got the front end done. The only issue I'm having is a stripped passenger steering rod bolt. I've got it in with a new cotter pin but can't snug it up...So may need to order a new one. I believe it's part 4504669235.

Below are some pics with the front wheels mounted up - I'm liking it!

Looking great! I love OME stuff. I've had it on my 80, a Hilux, and have it on my current 100 series.

Great to hear.. I'm a fan of ARB but from a suspension point of view I really only have experience with a set of Dakars for my Tacoma which were good. Can't wait to get this thing back on its own weight. I ll keep the thread posted best I can.

Looks great! I am liking those wheels as well.

Whats next? A good trip with lots of washboards to test those shocks and a good report after?

Posting a few more updates from this weekend - managed to get the drivers side put back together. It's not final final assembly as I'm going to need to dial in the preload. I'm going to finish installing everything including the rear, put the truck back on the ground and see how it all measures out. I'll see how much I need to adjust the preload and then take the coils to a shop with a wall mounted spring compressor. Adjusting the rings seems to be impossible both in and out of the car. Guess that's why the directions call for putting the units on a compressor and then adjusting the preload ring...

This looks great! Really well built 200 man.

By the way, there is a trick to adjusting the coilovers that I figured out at 3AM while installing my Icons. Since the wrench doesn't fit between the CO and the frame bucket, you have to remove it to adjust the preload. This of course means holding the CO steady to put enough torque on the spring preload ring.

An alternative is to get a nice wide piece of wood (about 12" wide works well). Then use one of the bolts that hold the top of the CO to the frame and thread it into one of the holes on the top of the CO. Then place the closed end of a cresent wrench onto the bolt (with the bolt fully tightened), and place the CO on the piece of wood with the open end of the crescent laying on the wood as well. Then take the preload adjuster tool and go to town. If you do it correctly, the cresent will keep the CO from rotating and you can even use your foot to push the adjuster tool down. Then just tighten allen bolt in the preload ring, back out the bolt on the top, and you're ready to go. :wings:

Thanks guys! Looking to get it out on a trip ASAP for a test run. This summer I'm taking the family to Idaho with the trailer so want to make sure all is good before the trip. Can't wait.

Ride is great.Without a doubt firmer, but absolutely what I expected. Around town and on the highway it feels much better planted allowing for more spirited driving. I haven't gotten it out on a true off highway track, but the few rutted out dirt fire roads I've cruised feel awesome. I need to fine tune compression and rebound settings to get it perfect, but overall it's been great.

Got the light bar mounted. Pretty straight forward. Perhaps tomorrow I'll get it wired up.... A few pics below.
