Did rears. Pads were gone.

Was just going to do rotors and pads till I got the calipers off. They were toast!

Done. All nice and shiny!

Wife called and said she was running errands when front end started making bad noise so she headed straight to dealer. Front end grenaded about two blocks away. Dealer says bearing let go and BOOM!
She got a quote for repairs from Stealer just for giggles. $4600.00 to put in new 4.10's! LOL!!! Had it towed to my buddies shop. Doing Nitro 5.29's, ARB's, HD compressor, Nitro 4340 axle kit, Marlin seals, Nitro chromo birfs, ARP knuckle studs, and powerstop brakes installed for the same price.

Hey man,

Nice rig, congrats on the purchase.

On one of the pics, you show a K&N air filter on top of a OEM-ish filter. If you're installing the K&N, do yourself a favor and DON'T!!! Despite what you've heard about K&N air filters, increase air flow = increase particulate in your air intake. Your 80's giant air filter canister has a "tuna can" at the bottom. The cyclonic spinning of the air drops out the heavier particulates into this tuna can that you're suppose to empty from time to time. Go over to IH8MUD and find this out for yourself. Stick a Toyota washable air filter into your beloved 80!!!

What are your thoughts on the LTR remote res shocks from OME? What made you get them and are they 12"/12" front/rear shocks?

Thanks for the heads up on the K&N. Ive run them in my last 4 trucks with no issues, but Ill check it out on MUD. Going to a snorkel set up soon anyways. I've only wheeled the truck once so no real input on the OME LTR's. I will provide a review for them once I get back and start wheeling again. Yes they are the 12". They actually where included with the truck when I bought it new in box, so I decided to try them out. Its hard to beat free!!!
