Jeep Camping Trailer

Nice trailer!

You're logic on leaving the trailer without cover makes sense to me to. It gives you a lot more flexibility on applying it to home and trail duties.

As an idea, this flexibility would not be compromised and you would get some added utility by welding on some tie down points or even a railing that you can hook bungees, straps or even a cheap tarp to cover up gear with. If nothing else, dry firewood starts up easier than wet wood caught out in the rain! LOL! I may be missing something but I thought it looked like you were running straps over the side down to the bottom lip of the tub to find something to hook onto?

My compliments on the very versitile rig you've built.

there are hooks mounted along the inside of the trailer to hook ratchet straps and tarp coords to. In these last pictures the tarp was sitting under the jeep upper windows. No straps go over the edge of the trailer.

We need some more info on your Jeep ;) I spy some coil overs, hight steer and a D44 under that 8274 :) Nice work.

I guess with any good adventure trailer you need something equipped to pull it:sombrero:

1997 TJ sport
ford 8.8 4.88 ARB 5 on 5.5 converters
Waggy 44 with chevy knuckles and spindles for 5 on 5.5 Yukon shafts, 4.88s lockright
14" fox coilovers
behind the axle steering from harshterrain
PSC street/trail assist steering
custom 3 link on front and 4 link out back.

Right now I am trying to decide on a good manner to carry kayaks and canoes on top without putting a roof rack up there. Thinking about a seudo light bar with no lights that will support it over the windshield because I have ruined my bikini top from carrying my canoe on top.

What do you think this trailer is worth? I'm looking to build a bigger one, but i need to sell this one to fund the next trailer build.
