Oops, I guess I'm a little too late in making my suggestion...

I was going to mension that if you were going to stick to 33" tires you should set up your swing out tire carrier to take 2 spares. It is a little too late for me because I've got a wad of $$$ into my rims and 35" tires. After setting up my swing out carrier with a table and realizing how convienent it was when I camped for the month on Novenber down in Baja.

I can envision making dual wheel swing carrier into a trick kitchen area on the inside, a recovery gear rack on the outside, and a good wind block.

Good idea. A friend of mine has 2 swing-outs on his Landcruiser FJ40, and I like that much better than my single. I would like to see some pics of your table, because I'm thinking of how to do one on mine. I have looked up everything I can on your vehicles, and still can't get enough. I haven't had any problems with my 258, ie: oil leaks, and the such, but I love your engine swap!!! Do you have a build thread?

Joaquin, I like that you seem to travel light. My days in the "Corps" taught me to do the same. I've been meaning to ask how you mounted the rear bar to the floor. I want to do the same thing, so I can haul my kayak up there, and someday a RTT. I also don't want to cut or drill holes in the tub. Most that you see are mounted straight up from the baseplate. I want mine farther back. your photo show the mount, and the angle. I like it. Now, I have to decide whether to weld it together, or use collars, allowing the rear hoop and the front to back bars, to be taken off.

Nice looking truck, they are lots of fun.
Much like jeepdreamer I hope mine moves soon as well. Parts are on order and going in soon. And I can only dream about a diesel conversion like Joaquin Suave's Mayahual.:coffeedrink:
