Makes up for the troubles--

Good luck

Dang - now I see why you like the color :luxhello:

I can't remember much about the times I used my HiLift on the CJ but I do remember the 4 hours I spent digging it out before I bought one :smilies27

Spent some time this weekend trying to figure out what to do with the fridge. I bought the ARB slide for the fridge so I just need to figure out how to mount it. I'm thinking of building a shelf in the back to attach the slide to and provide a bit of storage.

This what I did and I kept the back seats, if you plan to go bigger tires/lift i would try to keep the frig as low as possible. My wife has a hard time getting in ours lol with 37s and 4.5" lift.

Next Step - Bed Lining

Been a little busy lately but I finally got a chance to get the tub cleaned out and ready to have some Rhino bed liner installed. Should be all black inside by tomorrow afternoon :luxhello:

Then I can put it all back together and start adding my goodies. I was amazed at how much weight I removed with the hardtop and doors. The JKU is siitting about 3 inches higher - easiest lift every :sombrero:

Looks great. What was the cost on the liner? I'm debating that or DIY.

$600 I had thought about DIY but by the time I pulled everything out I wanted to have a prof job. I also didn't have the time to apply a coating.

Oh wow, that's not bad at all. I think you'd need $200 bucks worth of Raptor or Monstaliner to do a JK anyway, and my time is well worth the extra money. I think LineX is a superior product anyway.

Have you noticed the road noise go down now that it's lined?

I'll get back to you on that as the jeep is still wide open and there is just too much wind noise to make a comparison. I did notice an increase in road noise when I removed the carpets so I'm thinking the liner will reduce the noise - just not sure how much.

Even though I'm planning on using the JKU for long distance travel I just purchased two Rugged Ridge quick release mirrors to use when I drive with the doors off - not something I'd do while traveling abroad but I just like driving around in a stripped down Jeep :)

Tailgate Table

I did add an expedition accessory - a tailgate table. It has been setting in my office for the last several weeks waiting for the bed lining to be complete.
