Jordan desert tour - 24 4x4's

We just came bck for a our in the south desert of Jordan, via Saudi Arebia border.
It was a blast!

Hi,

I wish i could cross to Saudi. this is one of my dreams.

We toured all southern desert to "Madawora" and up to Qa-Jaffer and more...

As i wrote, it is a dram of mine to visit Saudi Arebia.

I would love to have gone on that tour. When we visited Petra, we made a small excursion in Wadi Rum in the sandstone outcrops called inselbergs. Down in Arabia you see the same thing at Medain Saleh. Same outcrops, and you can follow the Hijaz railway throughout the entire area all the way to the Jordanian border.

I saw this trip report on the Israeli newspaper online- I think it was Maariv..didn't know you are an expo member- small world!

We are planning a trip to Jordan this fall to visit Petra among other things and are considering a drive through Wadi Rum. How did you arrange your excursion? Did you use on of the tour guides? Any words of wisdom regarding a short Wadi Rum trip? Thanks.
