July 4th Weekend in Western Maine Mountains

Here are a few pictures from the recent weekend in the Maine Mountains. We camped near Caribou Pond and visited the Flagstaff Lake area.

That particular event was Jeep only. Mostly it was a Willys run.

Myself, I'm always up for a Maine Mountain run with any vehicle. I actually prefer easier roads with more scenic/wildlife viewing then what we did on this particular trip.

Geez, thanks for the case of wonderlust. You had to go an remind me of how much I enjoy the backwoods of Maine. Haven't been able to get up for the last 2 years, so thanks for the chance to do so vicariously. Looks like you guys had a sweet time.

It was a sweet time. Hope you can make it up this way before too long. Perhaps we can setup a Maine North Woods Expo run sometime.

I'd be up for one. Have a 97 TJ (modified) and a 04 Toy doublecab (stock) so could play either way. Haven't gotten to use them at all lately.
