3 words OLD MAN EMU...

nothing they make lifts a truck over 3inches and is designed to make the truck ride better and handle loads better. Far and away the best products made for Toyota. That said, Toyota's can fot 33x10.50's with no lift if you use stock rims or rims with factory BS specs.

Head over to Yotatech.com, that is far and away the best resource for toyotas on the web. I'm Diesel_Freak over there, my build up thread is called Project: 4Rescue and it shows my truck before and after the OME and Ball-joint spacer install. I LOVE the ride quality and the ride height. Now I'm just waiting on gears and 33's and I'll be set IMO.

Cheers

OME is nice, but expensive. Not everyone can spend that kind of money and I suspected SSBAJ probably doesn't have that kind of budget.

Your springs and shocks are probably worn out, that much is fairly certain. If the torsion bars are worn, no amount of turning is going to make them any better. There many just not be any life left in them.

So do you have a target budget here?

So what product do you recommend for ball joint spacers and rear leaf pack and shocks. and also anything else that would be part of the process like maybe diff drop etc. I dont want to skimp on quality but I dont need to spend unneccessary money. I will keep my wheels and tires right now ( they are too new ). I sure do like the looks of 4rescue's lift. I really think I want to keep mild with my lift.

A little more clearance

Something I tried on my 98 Tacoma was to install a new set of springs that were approximately 30% heavier. I was able to gain about an inch to inch and a half in front height, enough to clear 32's without the pinch weld operation. I bought the springs from Valley Spring Works in Dixon CA, 707.678.3944. I was really happy with the results. I have since installed Total Choas upper control arm and Donahoes coil over. Since I kept the Valley springs and it is now 6 years later I am now going to try and put the Valley springs on the Donahoes, obtaining sufficient lift from the spring install without cranking the coil overs. Anyway, give Valley a call, I haven't seen their ad in 4 Wheeler mag for awhile so I am only guessing they are still in business, it is an inexpensive (around 200) for a SAFE alternative to other methods of raising the front.

Good idea, but he has a torsion bar setup in front, no coilovers.

To the OP, www.sdori.com is the place to get your bj spacers. They work well with OME shocks, you can get them from trdparts4u.com tell them you are a member of yotatech and you may get a better deal. I don't know much about the leaf springs in the rear, so I can't help you there. The link in my sig has the info on my front end. I got it all from trdparts4u.com (bj spacers, ome shocks, and ome steering stabilizer) all bj spacers sold in the states are made by sdori.com. Sorry I can't help on the rear, I could talk about coils though, lol.

Ok , Im going to adjust my torsion bars this weekend. to see what thats all about. Never done that before. So if I get an inch out of it what about getting a block for the leaf spring to get it level with the front? This seems like a cheap alternitive and probably keep most of my factory ride. what do you think. I know I dont want to go more than an inch maybe two with the blocks ( axle wrap and such). But I think one inch should be ok.
