Kamparoo or Tentrax?

We have a UK dealer and we ship to Europe.

It's around $1450.00 to ship a single trailer, plus the HT stamped crate at $680.00

I'm sending 5 trailers to Italy in September. The container is full.

Well, I am going to be a little bias but my wife and I love our Kamparoo. The wife said no way to climbing a ladder and I wasn't fond of it. I looked at the Tentrax but felt it too small for what we wanted. A HUGE bonus of the clamshell design was having a large floor area that is off the ground. We are able to change clothes, setup the PETT toliet, heck we even setup our stove and cooked in there (with having the proper venting of course) when it was really windy out. Another thing that really drew us to it was, we are not light weight people and having a very solid bed that was not cantilevered over nothing, gave us more piece of mind.

Another great thing we like about the Kamparoo is the weight. Loaded up it's about 1400# and we hardly even notice it behind our Cherokee. I still get 16-17mpg towing. It is also very stable and will handle up to a 3 level trail. Since our Cherokee is really only setup to do 3 trail, the 'roo will go any place I will go.

I know trying to decide what is right for your needs can be tiresome but after many, many months of looking and research, we are 100% happy with our choice.

I digg what your saying. I just question how far out there the 'roo will go.

PM Alia176...he'll tell it like it is. And he's pulled their K-Roo over alot of tough trails.

I've used my TENTRAX 4 times this summer for a total of 2900 miles and by controlling tire air pressure, on freeways and off-road-I'VE NEVER BROKEN ANYTHING

Maybe it's different terrain, or driving style. I used mine on mostly NV dirt roads which like any dirt road tends to be, well...very dirt roadish. I think it's great to hear that you haven't had anything broken. It just wasn't the case for me.

Like any mechanical unit you buy, you have to make your OWN improvements and I have made a lot, with my TENTRAX, but I'm very happy withit

Like anything in life, the only aspect that really matters is that your happy with it. The gentleman was asking for opinions and I offered mine after owning/using a Tentrax for two years.

I really wish somebody would have offered some user insight when I bought mine. Unfortunately, I don''t think too many were being used as an off road trailer at that time.

Comparing Tentrax to Kamparoo, is kinda like apples to oranges

The Kamparoo/AT/Campa:etc are wonderful carry all expedition trailers, while the Tentrax is a special edition SHORT TIME off-road cargo trailer

Yes there are a lot of options, but, being fiberglass, it'll never approach the expedition trailers

As said before and obvious, each one has a particular attraction and a lot of preplanning is required
