We were only out for a few hours but it consisted of creek crossings, mud, rocks, more mud, getting stuck, even more mud, and winching!! It was awesome! Michael and I agreed that we had our own taste of what the Camel Trophy guys went through!

I left the adventure with a broken light bracket on the roof rack, and an undying want for a CDL!! I finally had a situation, well maybe a few situations :sombrero:, where Michael got right through and I struggled. All in all it was a great trip! Videos to come in a second...

Looks like fun. Haha, did you hit a tree Pete?

yep! i squeezed under it. when i had my rack before, i would just push this tree up. guess pete forgot his lights are plastic. :Wow1:

that jerry-rigging should work fine for quite while pete. i'd be in no hurry to buy a new bracket.

YES!! It was one of those moments where you tell yourself, "It'll be fine... SNAP... Why did i just do that, that was dumb..."It was a downed tree on the passenger side that was just too low.

I plan on removing the fender flares from my truck in the near future and was wondering if anyone has any interest in buying them. Let me know either through the thread or PM me. Not too sure on price but I know they go for about $100 so that's what I'm shooting for. Thanks in advanced,

sold mine for $110 shipped, so i got about $95 out of the deal .

glad to see you've finally seen the light. :sombrero:
remember to use lots of heat (hairdryer) and go slow. you don't want to have to scrape all the tape off the truck. ask me how i know...

Alright well I got the flares off... At least the drive side before I was rained out

Was not nearly as bad as I thought it was going to be. I have multiple pinprick holes in the paint along the outer edge of where the flare contacted the fender. But once again, Blaster came through and worked like a charm! I can't say much more for that product other than if you don't already own some, GET SOME!! It has helped my paint 100% more than I thought it would. I have another question for you guys, but I'm going to start another thread about it because I really want some answers on it. Thanks for looking!

sexy! no take off the "SE" badge too! i'm thinking about removing my door molding. it'd make your truck look soooo clean without that with the light color.

How do I get the badge off? Heat gun? Hair Dryer? it looks like it shares the same clear coat as the paint.

I'm seriously thinking about losing the molding!! I want to get a little more feed back from some people but I really like the idea. Is it just double sided tape keeping them on as well?

yeah it would be the same tape i would believe. there are definitely no holes like some DIs. i see what you mean about the badge. my SE7 badge was raised plastic attached by tape...like the hood lettering.

Looks awesome Pete!! I could see removing the "SE" badge but the door molding....i dunno, haha. I kind of like some contrast in color.

P.S. We need a Beasley Knob trip!

Thanks man! I see what you mean. I almost wonder if it would look washed out if I removed them. Then I think it would look awesome all nice and clean like Ben's DII pictured above... I can't decide!!

And Yes we need to do a couple of trips:

Beasley
Cashiers... Possible Caney
Some exploring of the FS roads around Chattahoochee National Forest and the surrounding area

And if anything just some camping!!

That's what I was thinking. I don't remember seeing any attachments when I had the door panel off, but then again I wasn't looking for them. I'll have to look into the badge. I know the older DII's had the same lettering I have.
