With the white bulbs in, I really seemed blinded by the light hitting the snowflakes. It seemed to obscure the road and all I could see is snow. With the yellow bulbs in, The snow was much less noticeable and allowed me to concentrate on the road better.
This is what I have found as well.:coffee:

Quick update

Was driving 2 nights ago to my son's basketball game and ran dead-on into a whiteout on the highway. Low beams were useless as they just bounced lots of white light back at me off the snow. Flipped the "brights" on and the full yellow from the brights and Hella filtered aux lights made a world of difference.

Instantly I was able to see further down the road, was able to see road signs and the glare from the blowing snow was minimized to the point where I felt comfortable proceeding, albeit at a slower pace due to icing conditions on the road.

Next step is to put the lamin-x covers on my 04 allroad as the factory HIDs stay on when I hit the brights and throw back way too much glare for such conditions. I'll take the slightly reduced throw from having the yellow over my factory HIDs for the extra visibility in bad weather.
