That must be an old picture. Can't remember the last time I saw the sun here in the DC area although we have plenty of humidity...

Location?

I spotted a fleet of non-US LC just outside Washington DC.

I've seen truckloads of these vehicles headed south in FL. I'm guessing they are being shipped out of the port of Tampa, Palm Beach, and Miami. On separate occasions weeks apart I've seen no less that 6 transport trucks with (3) Cruisers each always on the top rack. Kinda stuck out!

lots of those hiaces where I live. I drive by a farm on my way to work and they have 3 or 4 of the things. They are neat and can fit a lot of stuff. Some have a dump bed which I think is cool and share some of the same engines as land cruisers (B series 13b, 14b, 15b). There's even the odd single cab with 12' bed that comes up from time to time. Although four wheel drive they are not off road machines, they are work horses.

I love it!!!...but I cringe at driving that on our highways...I drove a 1987 TOYOTA van for many years...you are the crumple zone...front and side meat bags standard

That's really cool!! Funny there is a Prado in the back ground and a Toyota van directly behind it.. Yes, lots of Toyota's in Russia.

Is there a possibility of buying a brand new Land Cruiser like that??????

In lots of places. In some of those places with a turbo diesel 4.5L V8, other places with the 4.2L 6 cyl diesel.
Just not North America. Though I'm sure they would sell with the V8 diesel in North America. I'd buy one in an instant.
Toyota USA really has its' head up its' a**. Which is why I haven't purchased a Toyota product since my 79 BJ40 purchased new 32 years ago.

On top of Black Bear Pass this summer. Such beautiful country!

Also mounted the SLR on my dash bar and took some video of various passes and roads. I had to compress it way down to upload with my slow DSL connection though. http://youtu.be/XhpOoCD2EiM
