Land Rover Defender 130 HCPU 4BD1T **SOLD**

The versatile Defender pick up truck is still available. Reliable diesel performance from the Isuzu 4BD1T engine. Mount your own camper or tow trailer for travel or use it as a daily driver with only the 'ute' bed.

They are the Recaro Specialist M. I went with a slightly lower side bolster (while still providing support) as the vehicle is quite tall to get in to. The thigh extensions are extremely comfortable. Custom mounts were fabricated to install the seats in the Defender.

Mad mad build..love it!! I like the nice integration of the speakers as well. That picture with the tree logs speaks of crazy payload. What is the payload like..well over a metric ton I guess.

Also nice looking monoposto Duc. I have the exact same MY and color :)

Thanks paachi!
It is rated for 1200 KG. The wood was some semi-dry cedar, but still a good load. The 4BD1T has great power for such loads and I added some Airlift bags to the rear springs for when getting up there in weight. The XPV2 we had on the rear was 860 KG dry, kitted out we were still under gross and the Defender handled great in all situations.
Yes, the monoposto is pretty special, it is staying in the barn...;)

I was just listing locally and on expo but that is definitely an option. Thank you for the reminder Ninelitetrip. There has been an increased interest outside of Canada, perhaps due to our favourable currency exchange.

Yes the conversion rate as of now does favor the southern cousins. Be prepared if you do go to BAT, seems it can be like walking into a buzzsaw. :) Walkaround video, check. Cold start video, check. Driving video, check. 100+ pictures, check. Pictures of vehicle underneath while on a lift, check. Can it pass Cali smog, check. Any rust, check. All kidding aside BAT can be a great experience, lot of very knowledgeable people. Do you still have the original engine?

Yes, while I appreciate the amount of detail I can glean from the advertisements on BAT, it does look fairly daunting from a sellers perspective..
Negative on the original engine, although all the wiring has been left in situ should the buyer want to put a stock engine back in.

Just chiming in here to say this: This is the coolest truck on the internet. Absolutely BEAUTIFUL build. Buy it in an instant had not, er, you know the drill.

PRICE REDUCTION : $77,000 CAD
I haven't had a chance to replace the doors on the Defender (a few of them are suffering from galvanic corrosion) and am thus reducing the price by the amount it would be to mount new doors. The reduction in price will allow a buyer to save on the initial investment and mount doors should they desire at a later date. With the influx of interest from south of the border, I am willing to work with an interested party in delivering it to their locale once the border opens up.
