So, lets see your pics from the event.

Overall, I thought the 2009 events was a great effort, and several things stood out.

1. The Solihull Society is one of the finest clubs I have interacted with. A strong sense of community and Tread Lightly is practiced by nearly all members. A well traveled group.

2. Lots of families in attendance. As the more extreme trucks and trails fade from the venue, I am seeing more families attending. Short of the Overland Expo, this was the best family showing I have seen.

3. The mix of trucks is changing - quickly. Many more LR3s than I expected, and the grey market 110s and 130s are now a show of force. There were probably 15+ grey market Defenders at the event, most were diesel. There was six of them on Thursdays Tin Cup run.

A great chance to explore new areas for many of us visitors to Colorado

This was posted in the outhouse at Alpine Station, some genuine concern for the local wildlife! Almost as funny was that the outhouse had an official sign calling it "Thunder Station" -- The USFS has a healthy sense of humor!

Equipt Expedition Outfitters. The LR3 belongs to Ben Edmonson, who is an exceptional photographer.

Columbia Rovers - These guys are first-class. Their products and trucks drip with quality and attention to detail. I have one of their DI tank skids, and love it.

Rover Tracks. Keith is a great guy, and a serious innovator.

Mountain Khakis. Pretty much the only pants I wear anymore.

Great Basin Rovers. Bill was the brainchild behind the National Rally, and happens to make some of the best Rover drivetrain gear available.

Awesome pics! Gives me renewed faith in my 2000 DII. I have been questioning it's reliability lately. In less than a year I have replaced the headgaskets, water pump and now it won't run because of a bad crank position sensor. I've been thinking alot lately about selling the DII. Help talk me into keeping the Disco!
