Land Rover National Rally

I'm not in any way a fan of homeschooling but it's times like this that I think there are advantages. (Or would be if I could afford the time off from work.)

In 1997 (I think) the Rally was in Red River, NM.

The kids were all little. I made each of them write a report on a day of the rally.

Their teachers got over it and I really don't thing ny of them are worse off for it today.

Oh, in reality, I wouldn't worry about it, except that we already pull them out of school in February for a trip to Lake Tahoe with my in-laws. We have the advantage of bringing just about the best 1st grade teacher anywhere with us. Of course, another problem is that my wife can't take time off from school either. But we (pre-kids) were there in around 1990 or 1991 and had a grand time.

Ah well, it's tougher getting Mom and little people out at the same time.

Keep an eye on next year's calendar. It should be back in CO, probably July if history's a guide ;)
