laptop Cooler pad

I've used a similar one during the Nevada Trophy last year when I was navigator for BajaTaco. I had to have the notebook on my lap and the cooler pad made all the difference: It kept the hot notebook off my legs and it also seemed to do a reasonable job in keeping the notebook cooler than it would otherwise have been.

I my truck I have the notebook mounted in a drawer under the sleeping platform and I use external monitor, keyboard and mouse. I had planned to put the cooler pad fans into the drawer bottom, but so far the notebook always felt cool enough. I do have some hot desert trips planned, so maybe put the fans in for that.

That's a definite "yes!"

We have 2 lucite stands for using our Powerbooks on our desks, with the same types of fans. But there is nothing on the bottom so if you put it on your lap, the running fans sometime can get fabric caught in them (or shave the hair off if you're a guy wearing shorts!).

These look great, and at a good price, too.

Thanks for the tip!
