Here's what I use when we have a base camp that we return to evening. I rode out 70mph winds in it one night, sleeping in the cargo net was like riding a carnival ride.
We use ones very similar to this (prob same mfg) as battalion aid station tents for the usmc. Very stout but a large load to carry when stowed.
You could live in one of these year round.
I'm thinking of my next tent being a whelen tent, or the campfire tent. I use an old Kelty domolite 4 now and its been a good one. But just something about the whelen or campfire that I like.
