I know most of you are on the newer rigs, as the after 99 front axle is convertible with ujoint lift. Does anyone have the info about the rotor size of the ones before 99, like from 1992-1999?

Looks like I can answer this myself: All F250/350 seems to be equipped with 12.6" rotors until the 13" ones.

these 16" are nice :snorkel: getting a 16" rotor into a 16" wheel though, could be a hassle :jumping:

There aren't any caliper brackets, just knuckles and the unit bearing. Only major difference is the ears for the caliper. The ears on the 450/550 are longer so the caliper sits further away from the axle center. Thats how SSBC is able to use the same caliper.

Ahh, ok.

I searched for some pics. Without crawling under my van, which of these two is the correct E250/350?

And is this the E450/550?(I see the ears protruding a slightly bit more as you mention);

Thx much as always Chris!

The top is an 05/up, middle is a 95-97, bottom looks like an Icon x-over knuckle. And to save more confusion, those are all F series. The 550 knuckles look just like the 250/350's, hard to tell the difference which is just in the caliper ears.

Here's my 550 knuckle from Vanaconda. See how much longer the ears are?

Thanks much for the pics Chris. Makes sense now. I realize this may come across as a ridonculous question, but can you advise if there is any available room to make a custom bracket that would bolt to the two E250/350 knuckle ears, the two "new ears" ending up in the same position as the E450/550 knuckle's ears, and then the caliper would bolt to the custom bracket? I realize the leverage here, MG would have to FEA it. :ylsmoke:

Quick and dirty sketch;

Ok, no wonder no one offers a BBK then.
Ah crap.

I guess it's SSBC 8piston front calipers on stock F350 4x4 13" rotors for now...
Thank you for your help as always Chris, et al.
