Laundry option

Looks like one of those salad spinners used to wash salad you pull from the garden. Works almost exact the same way.

Not sure how well it would wash them. Looks more like a "freshen up" type of thing.

I think if you put some water, detergent and dirty clothes in a water tight container, then go do some off-roading with it in the back of the truck, I am sure all the bumping around will do the same thing for cheaper.

An interesting idea though.

I have a 19 years in and 6 deployments....on the 6th now. Wash your sox, and underwear, in MRE bag. There are so many gimmics (to make things EASIER). I just laugh sometimes at all of the kit people pack on a trip. More kit, more to clean, more $$$ and more $hit to put some were. Hell take a shower with your cloths on and wash them first , then wash yourself 2nd. Done.....sorry for the rant!:coffeedrink:

I think we are on the same page. As long as everyone on a trip is in the same boat you don't notice a little BO like you do in the office. People need to learn to adjust their standards to the prevailing conditions.

I usually just put mine in a plastic bag with some water and a little camp suds and shake it around a bit before rinsing. A clothing plunger and a bucket work even better (a cheap toilet plunger works fine for this). Small items are easily washed in a sink by hand and I've done the shower with clothing on thing too.

I've tried soap and a rock in a nalgene bottle to wash my undies before...worked pretty good. You could even call it a backcountry "shake weight" :coffeedrink:

Please tell me you don't still drink out of that bottle!

Hahaha, no. It's now labeled "lavanderia" with a sharpie...

Nalgene use #42: I also have an old red ONE that is used as a road trip bathroom...it's great because when I empty it at a public restroom, it looks like I'm just carrying a red water bottle. I haven't labeled it, but it has rubber bands around it so I can feel them in the middle of the night before I attempt to take a swig. :sombrero:
