I think it depends on your plans regarding modifications. If you are planning to add a lift then the standard suspension would make the most sense. If you are going to keep the rig stock then the AHC suspension will give some added ground clearance when you need it along with load leveling. Of course the AHC adds complexity which could affect long term reliability.
At Malaysia there are no brand new land cruiser only used from uk ,china ...... so there also got a lot of different engines and suspension depends on which country .
