They perform very well for my use (FOR OFFROAD USE ONLY) and lifetime LED has an awesome warranty. I am very happy so far, but as hilldweller has pointed out they are technically illegal so use with discretion.
Sometimes, I like the idea of a vehicle that is not registered with my state, and kept entirely on private land so I can really do whatever I want with it, just as you seem to have done. I still wouldn't install those LED toys, though.
I have a similar set in my Suburban, both low and high beams. The light output is fantastic as compared to the factory halogens. They also dont have the glare that HIDs do, been in almost a year and no one has flashed me as of yet.
You're fooling yourself (eyes do that, you know) if you think they're better than a good set of factory headlamps. Even as bad as some GM headlamps are, they're better with the bulbs they're designed around than with these LED toys.
That you're not getting flashed is absolutely irrelevant.
Most of the time its fine, but in fog or snow you cant see a thing. A little yellow tint would help a lot.
That, or much less light in the glare zone. In fact, it's the excessive light in the glare zone, not the color, making it hard to see anything in the conditions you describe.
Facepalm from Alaric and me
Not only did I facepalm, I rolled my eyes so hard I suffered retinal detachment.
