Has their time come?

Has anybody thought of or pulled the trigger on LED headlights on their rig yet?
My JK's wiring bus wants to see 55W bulbs there... ...wiring options and H13 adapter?

C'mon, Scott; I know you must want something like this. :ylsmoke:

I'd love to make the switch. The difference is "night and day." When my combat advisor team switched to LEDs from incandescents we could see so much more on night convoys (contrast for crush-wire is a big deal as you can guess). They aren't cheap - but they are rugged. I'm going to have to wait a little bit more for my personal truck still.

I contacted Truck-Lite more than a year ago when I saw them on military H1s ---- they never responded to my emails or phone messages about a 12V application.

That's why I was stoked to see RDM Offroad offering them now; I bought my HID lights from them and they're great with customer support and community involvement.

A lot of the high powered leds out there will take a large range of voltage. The regulators inside accomodate. Most of Vision X's line takes something like 8-50 volts. My homemade led circuits take something like 8-32v, it's all in the regulation.

I have them in my TJ. NAPA has them from trucklight #27250C. The light is much whiter and briter, but the beam pattern is different and takes some adjusting to get them dialed in.

What's the NAPA price and are you happy with them?

Hill be the 1st to try em. I'm still considering a x-vision light bar 18"(I can't replace my headlights).

Most NAPA stores are privately owned so the prices may vary (just talk to your local store). These do go on sale at participating stores. Now they are on sale for heavy duty accounts and are less than $500 for the pair (again talk to your store)?

I am happy with them, but it is a big up front investment. over time I feel like they will be worth it as they work better, look better, have less voltage drain, are more durable and hopefully last forever.

Just called the local store; $424 each.
That's not happening when I can get a full-on HID kit for $439 for both sides...
