Led Light Bar

Hey guys was wondering if anyone installed a led light bar on the van? Was thinking about it, maybe across the windshield. I put one already on my bumper. I have a 03 Chevrolet express. I will upload pictures to night.

I like my small bumper mounted bar. I don't know if I'd go to a full length one ever since this lil guy does a pretty decent job on its own.

Thanks guys

I'm using LED bulbs in those housings... They're OK but still not fantastic. They have a very wide spread which is nice for seeing in ditches at night but it also means they don't penetrate terribly far down the road. I'd like to go with a set of projecter HID's sometime.

I made the receiver myself. 3/8" thick angle iron bolted to the frame rails, 2.5" x 2.5" x 1/4" box steel as the cross member between them. Recovery hooks are bolted to the 3/8" angle iron.

Not BC... Close though :) Hinton, AB

Shoot me a PM when you are ready for the upgrade to the projector HID lights. My kits start with the same light housings you already have.

I have same housings as well, Id love a set of yours but the exchange rate is nauseating and I have too many things on my wish list.
1) use my damn van more...

Agreed. I wish I would have jumped on one of your kits 8 months ago... Now I'll just bide my time with these LEDs until our dollar is closer to parity with yours.

For sure, the exchange rate sure can be a killer. We can work something out when the time is right.

Back to the topic of LED bars, I am considering going with this unit from Morimoto based on the price, low profile design, output, fog lens and the massive 10 year warranty. I would mount it in the bumper/valance opening as well since that is mostly dead space that isn't well utilized. I deal with the guys at TRS quite often for my retrofit parts and they are stand up people for sure.

REDOVAL which projector do you use for your retrofits? I used the FX-R 3.0 and found that's about the biggest that will fit. The one you use seems to be smaller like the Mini H1 or D2S.

I use the mini h1, but I will be doing sets with the fx-r soon.
