Haven't done much to the truck lately. I went on vacation to Patagonia, backpacked over 100 miles for much of Dec. It wasn't an 'expedition' trip to south america, we got out of the car, carried our junk for the entire trip on our backs. Great trip, the gf planned it all and kept the costs down. Sitting on this moraine in the sun, looking at Fitz Roy, was a truly unique experience. A nice finish to a year of grinding.
I also recently built a workbench to get my tools out of my smaller chest. Do it once right? The butcher block top and a few sheets of metal pegboard are due in tomorrow and I can finish it. The bench has 2" receivers to allow me to stow a vice and bench grinder, and only take them out when needed. Quite an upgrade over the old wooden one. I've been spending too much time on garagejournal...
On the truck, I cut out the holes for the lights with my miller 375 I picked up used a while back. I used a deburrer to cleanup the edges. To hold the lights in and the licence plate, I put in some rivnuts. Bumper is getting painted. I wanted to get it on today and do the electrical but held for paint to dry.
Also played with the bender setup I found on Craigs. I've bent the bedside tubes but need more time to sort out the angles for side support.
