Took the "new" 8.1L burb out for its first camping trip right above my house on Kendrick Mesa 11200 ft. Late next morning temp dropped to 43 degrees and started hailing hard which is when I discovered the heater core is shot. Locals call this hell road, so rough it takes 2+ hours to go 16 miles and thats pushing it, tires aired down etc. I found you cannot safely navigate a hard rock road when you can't see it at all due to a fogged windshield lol. While it's in the shop might as well stick a 3" lift under it, could have really used that extra clearance in a few spots. One cool thing about heater cores in these rigs, they pretty much install themselves...
