Thanks colodak, its a work in progress... Believe it or not, but I just ordered my permanent rack system early this week. I have a plan for that issue and with luck I shouldn't have an issue. But I do thank you for the heads up, I have heard a few nightmare stories.

I'll keep you posted.

What popup camper is that? It looks like a nice size. Now that I have a truck I kind of want a small camper or slide-in.

It's a 1989 F350 CCLB 4x4 started life as a 460 5 speed.
1997 7.3l Powerstroke/E4OD/4407 TC(?) with 160k, dash and front clip
1991 bed and I'm not sure of the tailgate.
Paid 3k for, figure its worth that parts alone.
It's nicknamed Frankenstein.

Front one got hit bad enough to mess up body mounts. Found a good deal on another. Both 1500 diesel. Can't wait to build it up.

Nice looking rig, I have an '08 crew with cap and would love to have the roof rack over the front but not sure if it'll be in the budget. I'm concerned to with the rack interfering with the kayak and someday canoe I need to haul up there.

If I ever am going to buy a pop up, that's the one.
