Just finished an 11-day trip with my wife and 2 kids that started on the Olympic Peninsula in WA state and passed through parts of Oregon, California, Nevada, Arizona, Utah, and skirted the border of New Mexico and Colorado. The wife and kids convinced me to adopt a dog in Monument Valley (to add to the 3 at home:unsure:). Here’s a few pictures.

Bonneville Salt Flats. The sign said not to drive on them if they are wet and there were some puddles. Other people ignored the signs, I was not one of them. We walked instead.

Can't beat family road trips to great places! Good for the kiddos to "see the land". We'll done. And some great shots! Thanks for sharing!

There's times when I'd like to get into a 1/2 ton. Beautiful shots bud.

Agreed! And thank you! After this trip they’ve been on trips through Washington, Oregon, California, Idaho, Utah, Arizona, Nevada, Wyoming, Montana, North Dakota, and South Dakota seeing National and state parks and monuments along the way. We previously did the trips in my wife’s 5th gen 4Runner.

Thanks! The 1/2 ton works well for what we need. I couldn’t justify the price tag of an HD pickup when I won’t ever tow or haul anything large enough to need it.

Quick question, how is the roof holding up? Reason why I ask is because I am planning on installing Front runner rack platform above the cab, and wondering if I should place the 37" or 40" spare on the roof of the cab.

Concerned if it will be too heavy for dynamic weight.
