26 gal tank mounted in my dbl cab with pump and volume tank mounted in the bed. I use as stand alone when camping with in my Flippac or I can can transfer to my trailers tank (30 gal) if we're using our trailer. I have used http://ronco-plastics.net/ for years and highly recommend them. The prices on the web site are list, ask for wholesale or discount price when you order.
Cheers

I made a change to the way water gets to the my sink...Being one who appreciates idiotproof, I came up with a gravity fed water supply system...See below...

(above) What we have here is 4" PVC water pipe, epoxied at the seams and mounted using a combo of SS hose clamps (with washers and bolts through the side wall) and HD Zip-Ties looped through the factory cut outs on the wall...The red plug at the top is where it fills...I use a one gallon jug to fill it...I could use a potable water hose, but the jug works fine...The red plug does make it air tigt so I drilled a tiny hole in the cap to allow venting, with no sloshing overflow...

(above) The capacity of 4" pipe is about .6 gallons per lineal foot...I have about ten feet of pipe there and with the elbows and tees, gives me about seven or eight gallons of water...

(above) The faucet is a simple PVC ball valve...The water flow is a hard smooth 3/8" diameter stream...Not wimpy...

is this used for potable water? i wonder how sturdy these pipes would be for under a trailer, or below my roof top tent on the roof rack.

I also wonder how this would work under a trailer. You could spread the weight of the water over the hole trailer, but I would think you would need some baffles to keep the water from moving around once the level was down a bit.

Anyone else?

Wouldn't the axles get in the way?

Paul is it necessary to epoxy the unions on pvc pipe? I would have thought it to be good enough just using conventional pvc glue since it doesn't have any pressure to hold in. These is a great idea.....I hope you don't mind if I borrow your design.

Folding Sink in Trailer

I selected an old utility body as my trailer build in part because I wanted easy access to compartments from a wheelchair. Especially water.
2013-04-23 18.29.28.jpg
I placed an 18 gall water tank ($80)slightly ahead of the axle, and between the frame. The 2.5 gal Sureflo pump ($70) is mounted against the frame.
2013-04-23 18.27.08.jpg
The dual batteries sit up front along with dual propane tanks and L5 Water Heater/Shower ($105).
2013-04-23 18.27.59.jpg
The sink is in the rear side box. Using starboard I creating a frame that hinges so the alum sink ($50) can flip up when traveling.
2013-04-23 18.26.50.jpg
Once you flip it down the drain lines up with a hole in the body. The spigot ($30) rotates out and I have hot/cold water. The two switches manage the water pump and a string of LED's that snake around all six compartments. I flipped the hinges on this door to make it easier to use this entire side as the camp kitchen. For drainage I like using a 5 gal bucket. It gives me a good idea how much water was consumed all day. We use sink far more than shower.

The cook wanted a place to place the stove so I created a snubby table that tucks behind the rear bumper.

Its not perfect but the chef is happy once the Hannibal is unfolded and the 8x10' floor mat gets laid on the ground. Next up is the center compartment. Cooking and eating stuff.
