Lifting Rear seat Montero 2.5 Help!

Ok guys, I’m trying to fold this seat up and I’m going crazy. I’m not sure if it’s broken or I’m doing anything wrong but I can’t lift up at all.

I had no problem on another side. Help!!

Got it out now, pain in the rear! I removed all the bolts at the bottom and brute force it to come off.

I’m suspecting lever failure or something

I had to repair the trigger cable in one of mine. I think I got a cable assembly from a salvage yard and installed it. Once the seat back is folded forward like in your photo, it should just flip up without doing anything else.

Yep, at least one of the cables have snapped inside. You might still be able to get the cables from the dealer, check ASA for the part numbers. And if this ever happens again, check out my build thread for pics and details on how to easily unlock them so they can be flipped up to tumble forward. There is a pin in between the two seats that you can hit with a screwdriver to release.
