LJ unlimited...just got 18mpg on a trip

i am getting 280 to a tank, 31's with 307 gearing. I wish I was getting 18 m.p.g. granted i just hit 160,000 miles on it.

I average 15 with my 06 Rubicon LJ (31" BFG ATs) that weighs about 5K
I recently got almost 17mpg over 150 miles of highway with the cruise set at 65.
Over 65 it starts to decline rapidly.

Was that with the Hard top or Soft?
