Plywood is 4" x 6" and 1 1/8" thick. Legs are 2" x 4". The platform is very firm and stable without the need of attaching it to the floor.
Total cost was $30 for wood and about $17 for hardware = $47.
After putting some carpet on the platform.. It's the Home Depot's Foss Hobnail Granite 6 ft. x 8 ft. Indoor/Outdoor Area Rug. Paid $20 for it, used only half.
I'm very satisfied with it.
This is what it looks like after adding LT 235/85R16 tires. Got a good deal off craigslist, 4 tires for $100. Plus 50 bucks for mounting/balancing/disposal.
Get rid of the ugly, ugly wheels, or paint em. hat could be a paint test for you. I painted the stock wheels on my Rodeo, it's the same color as your trooper. Nice Isuzu
Our first trip into the wild..we stayed four days and it was a wonderful experience. It also was a good test for the Trooper: there is a pretty steep road leading to Crystal Lake to an altitude of about 6,000 ft. The Trooper has performed flawlessly so far.
