Ha! We actually toyed with the idea for a while, but it's not the best plan. Gas would be a nightmare. :Wow1: Besides, she likes me too much to ride too far in a separate vehicle.

WOW i can see myself camping at that little lake down thereTruly amazing view.
It really is just such a beautiful area. I've been up there dozens of times but views like that just never get old.

In other news, some of my Yakima parts are showing up. The control towers are sitting on my workbench waiting to for the landing pads to show up. Soon after they will be mounted to the truck waiting for the crossbars to show up
I've also been thinking lately about how to put together a basic tool/spare parts kit so that minor repairs won't really be a problem. I don't really do any super extreme trails, so a pretty basic kit should do just fine. My plan is to get a large ammo box or good size Pelican case (or similar). Here's what I plan to fill it with:
Tool roll (metric socket set and wrenches, screwdrivers, pliers, hammer, etc.)
All 4 u-joints
Serpentine belt
Rad hoses
Various hose clamps
Rescue Tape
Fluids (oil, brake fluid, trans fluid, PS fluid)
Fuse kit
Tire repair kit
Any other suggestions?

A spill kit might not be a bad idea, *if* the front diff goes (I find this concern over-hyped, but it does happen) they tend to do so spectacularly by cracking the case. The front 1/2 shaft retaining nut (hub-side) takes a 32mm socket, so might include one of those if you feel the need to carry a spare 1/2 shaft. Multi-meter? OBD-II reader (can't remember if you have a Scan-Gauge or not, but they can read OBD-II codes)?

I will definitely consider it. I've read up a lot on the front diff cracking (why people do the Titan swap). I don't do anything insane and I hate spinning tires over obstacles, so I'd like to think the risk is minimal, but sometimes bad stuff happens.
Plan on carrying a multimeter, and I'll be putting in either a ScanGauge or an UltraGauge.

Can you stop posting pictures?
Every time I see these kind of pictures, I'm veering more and more to find a place out towards that area. Plus the fact that they are "free" states makes it even more enticing.

You'll die.
It's such a beautiful area, people are (generally) very nice and welcoming, and we can do pretty much anything compared to you Kalifornians.
Plus we don't have emissions testing.
Oh, and we all love guns out here.
