Long road to nowhere.

The "long road" along Highway 21 in Utah looking eastward from Wah Wah Summit Pass in the Wah Wah Mountains towards Frisco Summit Pass in the San Francisco Mountains. The picture shows 11 miles of road in the distance between the mountain ranges on Nov. 13, 2014. I wish I had been in a Ferrari and not a truck.

On the way to Jerome, Arizona, a string of about 200 VW buses. That brown and red '55 in the rear was mine.

Apparently, that's a county highway.

modernbeat that '55 Bus is amazing. I'll contribute another couple with my '66 Bug from my 2013 trip to CA.

This is my first post...so I hope everything goes as planned. I really enjoy this thread, so I figured I needed to add to it now that I have joined.

That is the view south from Coronado Heights. Just outside the frame to the left is a small cemetery. A friend of mine is buried there. Further to the left would be Lindsborg, KS. If you're ever there, visit the Birger Sandzen Gallery on the campus of Bethany College. The town was founded by Swedish immigrants in 1869. The college was founded in 1881. Twelve years. The people thought education was important. Some of the founders were still living in dugouts. There are caves along the Smoky Hill River that served as elementary school classrooms in that time period. Be sure to eat at the Swedish Crown restaurant and visit the Jim Richardson Gallery (National Geographic photographer) a couple of doors north of the restaurant.
